Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)


Avengers: Age of Ultron is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is intended to be the sequel to 2012's Marvel's The Avengers and the eleventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was scripted and directed by Joss Whedon and features an ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, James Spader, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Paul Bettany. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Avengers must work together to defeat Ultron, a technological enemy bent on human extinction.

The sequel was announced in May 2012, after the successful release of The Avengers. Whedon, the director of the first film, was brought back on board in August and a release date was set. By April 2013, Whedon had completed a draft of the script, and casting began in June with the re-signing of Downey. Second unit filming began in February 2014 in South Africa with principal photography taking place between March and August 2014. The film was primarily shot at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England, with additional footage filmed in Italy, South Korea, and various locations around England.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015 in North America, in 2D and IMAX 3D.

PREMISE :
With S.H.I.E.L.D. destroyed and the Avengers needing a hiatus from stopping threats, Tony Stark attempts to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program with Ultron, a self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence. However, his plan backfires when Ultron decides that humans are the main enemy and sets out to eradicate them from Earth, and it is up to Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, along with support from Nick Fury and Maria Hill, to stop him from enacting his plans. Along the way, the Avengers encounter the powerful twins, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, as well as the familiar Vision.

American Sniper (2015)




American Sniper is an upcoming American biographical action film directed by Clint Eastwood and written by Jason Dean Hall. It is based on Chris Kyle's autobiography American Sniper. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Luke Grimes, Kyle Gallner, Sam Jaeger, Jake McDorman and Cory Hardrict.

Principal photography began on March 31, 2014 in Los Angeles. The film is scheduled to receive a limited release on December 25, 2014, before opening wide on January 16, 2015

PRODUCTION :
On May 24, 2012, it was announced Warner Bros. had acquired the rights to the book with Bradley Cooper set to produce and star in the film. In September 2012, David O. Russell stated that he was interested in directing the film. On May 2, 2013, it was announced that Steven Spielberg would direct the film. On August 5, 2013, Spielberg dropped out of directing the film. On August 21, 2013, it was reported that Clint Eastwood would instead direct the film. On March 14, 2014, Sienna Miller joined the cast of the film. On March 16, 2014, Kyle Gallner was cast. On March 18, 2014, Cory Hardrict was cast in the film. On March 20, 2014, Navid Negahban, Eric Close, Eric Ladin, Rey Gallegos and Jake McDorman also joined the cast, as did Luke Grimes and Sam Jaeger, on March 25, 2014. Kevin Lacz, a former Navy SEAL, is portraying himself and serving as a technical advisor. Another former Navy SEAL, Joel Lambert, also joined the film; he'll portray a Delta sniper. On June 3, Max Charles was added to the cast to portray Kyle's son, Colton Kyle.

FILMING :
Principal photography and production began on March 31, 2014 in Los Angeles; it was also partly shot in Morocco. On April 23, LA Times reported that 10 days of filming in an Afghan village was set to begin at the Blue Cloud Movie Ranch in the Santa Clarita area On May 7, shooting of the film was spotted around El Centro Later on May 14, Cooper was spotted filming some scenes in Culver City, California, and then he followed by shooting scenes again in Los Angeles on May 16. On May 30, Cooper and Miller were spotted during the filming of their characters' wedding scenes; they were filming aboard a yacht in Marina del Rey. On June 3, Cooper was spotted in the form of a Navy SEAL marksman aiming during the filming of some scenes at a Los Angeles shooting range.

Focus (2015)


Focus is an upcoming American romantic comedy-drama film. Glenn Ficarra and John Requa directed the film from a script they co-wrote. Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Rodrigo Santoro are the lead stars of the film. The film will be released on February 27, 2015.

PLOT :
Nicky Spurgeon is a seasoned con-man, who becomes romantically involved with a young attractive woman, while introducing her to the tricks of his con man trade, she gets too close for comfort and he abruptly breaks it off. Three years later, the former flame—now an accomplished femme fatale—shows up in Buenos Aires — as opposing sides of the same scam; a billionaire international race car owner. In the midst of Nicky's latest, very dangerous scheme, she throws his plans for a loop...and the consummate con man off his game.

PRODUCTION :
Earlier iterations of the project were planning to feature the pairings of both Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone who had worked together on Crazy, Stupid, Love in the leading roles. After Gosling dropped out, the role was offered to Brad Pitt but he declined and Ben Affleck, who dropped out citing scheduling conflicts. Kristen Stewart was also cast to star in the film but later dropped out because of age difference between her and Will Smith. She was also accused of being a racist by some sources because of this while others dismissed it citing it was a personal choice. Apollo Robbins served as a consultant, conceiving and choreographing original sleight-of-hand maneuvers. Bringing his unique expertise to the film. Directors Ficarra and Requa stated, "Apollo is the foremost expert in his field and is an inspiration to us." The directing duo and production designer Beth Mickle made a scouting trip to Buenos Aires in June and a second trip with producers Denise Di Novi and Mark Scoon, in which they finally settled to shoot in the neighborhoods of San Telmo, Puerto Madero, Barracas, Retiro, Recoleta and Palermo, as well as Ezeiza Airport and a few hotels.[6] Neil Smith spoke at the Digital Cinema Society forum dropping several hints as to the identify of a film being edited in Final Cut Pro X in a December 2013 presentation. This would make Focus the largest production yet completed in Apple's editing program.

FILMING :
The filming of Focus began on September 12, 2013 in New Orleans, and moved over to Buenos Aires on November 17, 2013 for three weeks. The last day of shooting in Argentina was on December 10. Filming wrapped in New York City on December 17, 2013.

Seems like the Faith-based filmmaker world might want to take notes while watching Jesse Moss's documentary, which remains in observational mode as the intentions and methods of Pastor Jay Reinke come to light. Whether or not Reinke's program is a deterrent to crime in his community - it doesn't seem there's an easy answer to be found - but the toughest questions might be directed to the people running day-to-day affairs in Williston, North Dakota.
